A Christmas wedding! Emily and Tyler married December 26th at the Hunt Valley Golf Club in Phoenix, MD. With the spirit of Christmas surrounding the day, this wedding could not possibly have exuded more harmony, joy and peace.
In preparation for the ceremony, Emily revealed that her grandmother provided “something blue”– a beautifully timeless ring, and “something borrowed” — the garter! My favorite personal touch had to do with three little red books Emily and Tyler prepared. These were intended for their guests to fill in with their own wisdom to guide the couple on their journey through life together.
The ceremony took place in the mid-day light of the ballroom. Gliding down the aisle, Emily was beautiful in her elegant yet simple gown. She almost took the groom’s breath away! Overlooking the Club’s stunning scenery, Emily and Tyler exchanged vows as family members and friends looked on and indulged in this beautiful moment. Just in time for the ceremony, light snow began to fall, adding the perfect touch to a magical Christmas wedding.
After their touching ceremony, Emily and Tyler braved the chilling temperatures and lightly falling snow to take advantage of the great outdoors at the club. Their excitement resulted in enchanting scenic portraits of the newlyweds.
Their unique and beautiful wedding cake, provided by Eddie’s of Roland Park (Charles St. Location), was reminiscent of a winter day spent around the fireplace eating warm apple pie. Graceful sounds of the harp accompanied the ceremony, as performed by Mary-Margaret Jones. She was joined by her husband Thomas playing the saxophone for the reception to underscore the elegance and harmony of this magical wedding day. Floral arrangements beautifully matched the simple elegance of the day and were provided by Blue Sage, a wonderful floral design studio based just a few miles from the club. Many thanks to Katie Bunce, Director of Catering at Hunt Valley G.C. for a well-managed event!
