A wedding is steeped in tradition but in the hands of some people, it is fertile ground for rich and creative re-interpretation! Right from the start, our couple gravitated to a more unique setting for engagement photos down at the Clipper Mill. Check out my November 17th blog on their engagement session.
For their wedding, the scene shifts to the Inner Harbor… Carrie is getting ready at the Marriott Waterfront Hotel, Adam is doing the same in their Federal Hill home. Check out Carrie’s blue birdcage veil hand-made by Rachel Shaw (of Plan It Perfect), their Planner Par Excellence.
Carrie sails across the harbor into the arms of her beloved!
After their sun-drenched waterside meeting Carrie, Adam, and the rest of the wedding party took a stroll across the street to the site of the main event, the American Visionary Art Museum.
The ceremony took place in the rich shapes and textures of the AVAM garden. They composed and read their own wedding vows (very touching), had unique readings, and even a “singing bowl”.
The Sculpture Barn looked lovely, festooned with many candles and table decorations.
These were the notes Carrie and Adam used when giving their vows.
They cut a very romantic figure on the dance floor.
Every couple should have “LOVE” behind them!
