The Hampton National Historic Site located in Towson has recently been renovated and is again open to the public. The exterior and it’s surrounding grounds are a great backdrop for portraits. Here, I photographed Joanna and Michael in preparation for their May 2011 wedding. They didn’t know what to expect in a portrait session but were open to my suggestions. They started with their “camera smiles” (like we all do), but soon, they were relaxed and looking more like themselves. They were very appreciative of the guidance and as a result of this experience will be even more comfortable working with me on their wedding day. The colors and textures of the surroundings were distinctive and back at the studio, Laurent, my graphics wizard further interpreted the hues and shading to produce these unique images.
